  Kolejna reedycja "Wiosny Ludu", jednego z najważniejszych albumów w dyskografii Kapeli ze Wsi Warszawa, który wyznaczył na kolejne lata brzmienie i kierunek zespołu. Album, wydany oryginalnie w 2001 roku przez trójmiejską oficynę Orange World, doczekał się europejskiej edycji w znamienitej niemieckiej wytwórni Jaro Medien oraz edycji amerykańskiej w należącym do Harmonia Mundi labelu World Village.
Pionierskie kompozycje oparte o korzenne melodie. Moc, trans, energia, duchowa rewolucja. Poruszające śpiewy na krzyku, potężne szarże smyków i energetyczne kanonady bębnów oraz masywny dub zachwyciły słuchaczy na całym świecie, teleportując Kapelę na najważniejsze sceny i festiwale. "Wiosnę Ludu" nominowano do prestiżowej nagrody BBC Radio 3, a utwór "U mojej Matecki" zdobył Grand Prix konkursu Svetozár Stračina Europejskiej Unii Nadawców (EBU) dla najlepszego utworu inspirowanego muzyką ludową.

The Warsaw Village Band are six young musicians having discovered the magic of ancient singing styles and instruments for their kind of music named “new folk”. They are playing Suka, a unique Polish type of fiddle, originally from the 16th century, played by fingernails. The singing style they adapted is called “white voice”, a kind of screaming, used in the past by Polish shepherds. They create rhythm by playing two drums, which is a rather unusual combination for any kind of folk music.
When the Warsaw Village Band was founded in 1997, they just wanted to have fun making music in a spontaneous way. In the beginning, they just beat the drums in any rhythm occurring to them until they met in a common sound. On People’s Spring, you can hear string instruments sounding like French horns, furious drums, trance, improvisation, and elements of roots music. And above all you can hear the enthusiasm and passion of six young musicians, who love to travel their country to find and keep the musical skills of the old ones for their own generation. The middle generation not being interested in the archaic sounds and instruments, the old village people recognized the Warsaw Village Band as the only possibility to keep tradition alive.
